Jockey dies at Christmas races in Gore after falling from horseA jockey has been killed after falling from a horse at the Gore Christmas races in Southland.

The jockey was 40-year-old rider Rebecca Black, Racing.com has reported.
Black died after the horse she was racing collided with another horse and rider near the 700 meter mark, according to Raccing.com.
One ambulance crew was already at the scene before the fall happened; but because of the seriousness of the jockey's injuries a second ambulance was called.
